MPA80 visual correction - How I do it ? | 8 January, 2007

hi to all, I have a old MPA-80 machine. I use it for simple boards without problems till now. For a more difficult board I have tried to use command "M801", I think that I have done everything right but I receive a error-message like " x(-)soft limit ". Can anyone help me ?

thnks

A soft limit error is an error due to trying to drive the head outside it's mechanical limits. Check your X-axis program data for this part.

If your boards are not totally rectangular part of the board can stick out past the stopper. If the fiducial is there then you can't use it.

Also make sure you are not using panel fiducial co-ordinates and then expanding those out with panelization.

Do you get the error immediately or before the head even moves?

This was helpfull. Thnks .

The Program origin was far away from the fiducials. Thats why I have this message.

Now the next problem: I insert command N2 with M801 , I go at 1st fiducial .... all ok I insert command N3 with M801 . i go at 2nd fiducial ....all ok

I start the program.... machine goes at 1st original ..all ok But when it is to check the 2nd, it goes not to the X,Y that I have teached. It goes somewhere else and of course machine stop. Can you think why ?
