hi it looks like that you got this machine without money or simply like you robbed it. Even if you buy second hand, atleast you know how it works, SECONDLY WHY YOU DO NOT HAVE ITS MANUAL BOOK.

OK, BELIVIEING IN THE ABOVE OPTIONS, if you ON pressing RED button ur machine, u will get a green colored screen Press F5 before releasing its Emergency ok, then click in the 2nd option. you will get your required answer.

Remember, it is a very old mounter and i think YAMAHA discard it even from its STORE so i think you can ask your vandor for its BOOK or its spare parts.

I have the manual for this machine and the programs I am after allow me to connect the machine to a PC via an RS232 interface to allow upload and download files to/from the machine as well as an optimiser. We have had the machine for a while and is only used for small runs. We normally use the teach mode for inputing the PCBs which of course gets saved on disk. At this stage we cannot justify updating the machine as the quantity of boards that do get put through it are quite low. We currently have 54 reel feeders, 2 multi-stick feeders and an automatic tray feeder. All of which would be quite expensive to replace. We also have a client who has a YM84S who is in the same situation as us and want to link up to a PC instead of relying on unreliable 720K floppy disks. I also wanted information on the file formats to allow me to write some software to convert the output of our CAD software into board files. Our main line of buisiness is R&D so we only do runs of about 10 to 100 PCBs and this machine suits our purposes quite nicely even though it is quite old, slow and clunky.
