Hello,

Does any one know of an IPC standard for mechanical hardware. For eg we had connectors from our supplier which had 4 or more radial splits in screw mounting flange and the plating finish was not uniform on many of them. I am trying to get infomation on standards against which we could inspect hardwares. I appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks, Sundaram

I don't know of any standards that apply to hardware at the component level. I would think, though, that unless the spec. sheet for the component specifies cracks there shouldn't be any.
