Hi-

If it turns out your MCS-30 has died, I have a few complete and running units in stock to replace it.

I would go into the system BIOS and see if everything looks good. Check out the boot sequence and make sure it recognizes the hard drive. If that is good you probably have a bad drive. It is a good idea to make a copy of your drive's in case of crashes.

Yea, boot device fail is just the hard drive dead most likely. Its looking for the system files and cannot find them. You can prob buy a replacement hard drive with the necessary files on it from the supplier if you have no backup...

What are the status of the LEDs? Are these LEDs lighted up in RED? If so, the harddrive and the sub are disabled. You can enable these if you have the system disc. Insert the system disc, then, $ sign will appear. Type hdstat. This will display the status of the harddrive. To enable the drives, type hadstat = +main then enter. This will enable the harddrive. For the sub, type hdstat = +sub then enter. After this, shutdown the PC. If the PC still unable to boot. Try to re-format and install all the recovery disc.

We had a simliar problem with our MCS30, we ended up replacing the MCS30 with FLEXA from Fuji. the program was expensive but we used an off the shelf computer, (cheap). We are running 6 CP3's with the one computer at about ten times the speed. Very user friendly once programs are installed. A FUJI Rep. came in and helped with the setup.

Good Luck Murray

We're running 3 CP3's but I think they doesn't meet Flexa. Flexa is only connected when CP3 has Version more than 6.9 . We only have ver.1.4 and 6.8. I really don't know what to do now. Anyone helps me?

After you tried the procedure, what the MCS error indicate? If you try to format the PC, all data stored will be erased.
