MPM AP25 Squeege Pressure not Set | 19 September, 2007

Hi,

Please help on this problem with an MPM AP25 screen printer. Everytime we print the error Squeegee Pressure Not Set is prompted. Although we can still print by clicking on Next, it beats the purpose of having an automatic printing machine. Can someone point us in the right direction on where to look and fix this problem? We had a look at the manual, the error is listed but not a single thing about how to fix it. Thank you very much.

Regards

Have you tried doing a "weigh squeege" before printing?

Yes, but it does not continue, it tried to weigh the squeegee but then after trying several times it would come up with an error that the Squeegee Left is not Free (up).

Cheers

You have a AP that needs to have the calibration and I expect you need to replace 1 or maybe 2 cards replaced. You probly got water in your air supply. The calibration will not be a easy one and special tools are needed. You can call us if you wish and we would try to help. Harry

Harry, How did you come to the conclusion that there is possibly water in the air supply and cards will need replaced from that description. And please explain why the calibration will not be easy.

Just curious.

Thanks

Harry is right. Too much moisture in the air lines screws up the air cards.

These pro-heads are somewhat of a pain to calibrate. I think it is a little pre-mature to say you probably need pneumatic cards. You just need to calibrate the pro-head. According to MPM, you need a nanometer (air pressure guage). But really all you need is a pressure regulator with a good dial on it. Other than that, you need a small screwdriver to adjust pots.

I have a proceedure on this that I could send you. Let me know if your interested.

the answer is very simple, it comes from 12 years of experience on the mpm's. And once you've done a calibration on the programmable print head, on a AP model you will know what I mean when I say it is not the easiest thing to do. harry

Right you are. Count on it taking at least an hour if you've never done it before. I think they made the pro-head way too complicated. Standard UP style heads are so much easier.

Hi All,

I just want to officially close this thread and give my thanks to Chris who faxed me the procedure in calibrating our programmable squeegee head. The machine is now running really well, thanks to those who gave their ideas as well.
