I was wondering if anyone knew of any good portable stencil solutions. I am looking for a rolling cabinet that can house 20 stencils without a huge footprint. I also need the cart/cabinet to be closed off(doors or otherwise) so customers do not see them on the production floor. If anyone has a cost effective solution please post.

Try asking your stencil supplier. One of mine recently gave me a sales pitch for something like you want.

If you are mechanically adept and enjoyed Lincoln Logs, Erector Sets, Lego's, Panels and Girders toys then look at 8020.net.

Extruded aluminum tubing, bolts, locknuts, etc. Build one yourself - brag about it to the customers.

Bliss is not exactly cheap, I will conceed that. I assume you are using framed stencils? Switch to QTS frames and buy the foils. You will save enoguh to buy a Mig welder and make your own storage cart!

Check stanley supply and techni tool. They have rack with no doors but you could prob fab something up. 8020 stuff isnt cheap either. I bet it would cost about 400+ to build a stencil rack plus all the labor and thinking involved. That being said, I love to use extruded alum kits for everything!!!!!

Also, check out the Bliss website. Nice product videos with an attractive female............................ JD

As others have said, Bliss racks are not cheap, but they sure are nice. We are a small single shift shop, but we have 4 of their carts. Two for stencils and two for feeders. Even fully loaded these roll very nicely if you need to get them out of the way. They are about as nicely made as you could hope for. Perfect welds, and very nice durable powder coat. The ones we have are not enclosed though. Although the only ones you can see are the ones on the ends. You could put some smoked plexiglass on the end to fix that problem if it really is an issue. By the way, I'm not affiliated with Bliss at all, although they apparently hold my 2nd mortgage. :)
