thanks a lot sir davef.

which is better between the two, static or dynamic?

localized testing (C3) or bulk testing (Omegameter/Zero Ion)?

do I really have to purchase this unit despite having an aqueous cleaner?

thanks again...

Q1: static or dynamic? A1: search the fine SMTnet Archives. For instance, http://www.smtnet.com/forums/Index.cfm?CFApp=1&Message_ID=44837

Q2: localized testing (C3) or bulk testing (Omegameter/Zero Ion)? A2: depends on the contamination that you're trying to measure. Is it localized or spread across the board?

Q3: do I really need this? A3: it is a process control method. If you have other cleaning process controls, then maybe you don't need a tester.

We don't know what your customer expects. If you do a nice chart of your third-party results that show a stable and in-control process, we'd guess your customer would let you slide without buying a BIG dust collector.
