Help Building Simple Circuit Board | 27 July, 2008

Im trying to figure out how to go about making a circuit board for making a music box basicly i plug it in. Has two speakers and when you lift the lid it auto plays the music, when you close it.. it stops playing. Very simple.

Can anyone help me design it. I made the box already~ Just need to design the circuit board.

Most of us are more interested in building boards than designing them. Having said that we'd like to help. Start here: * http://www.hobbyprojects.com/

They make greeting cards that do this to. You open em up and they make all kinds of jibbersh. My nephew sent me one for my birthday and it scared the hell outta me. dang thing was playing some kind of rap or rock or something they call music these days. Anyway if you buy a couple of these card you can tape or glue them into your music box Should work ok. They also make wind up ones that you could pull out and put into your box

Thanks A lot for your help. I dont know what could hold a 5mb song and how to make it auto play when it opens up. Im afraid those sites wont show me a template for something like that? Is there anyone skilled enough that could just go on paint and design a circuit board? Some help would really help on that matter. I just need a layout buy the parts solder them and put it in the box i made.

Ive already made a box that alone is worth about 100 dollars with the most expensive woods in the world so i really would like to finish the job. Some help would be MORE THAN APPRECIATED.

Thank you a lot for your assistance.

You could also try the ipclistserv "tech net". It is an email list and there are a lot of design engineers that maybe willing to lend you a hand. It kind of reeks to up but maybe worth the time.

another idea... This may sound wierd, but it is worth a try. In my spare time i am a recording engineer. Some times I run into some problems with my signal path having problems or there is an issue that I have with my DAW, blah, blah, blah.

There are a some people who are EEs and design there own equipment.

You may be able to post the question there and see if any one will be able to help you out.

Hopefully that helps.

All the best.

Did you consider taking one of those talking picture frames apart and using the parts in your box?
