Custom made nozzles from our vendor of pick'n'place machines are a bit on the expensive side.

Does anyone have any recommendation of third party companies, or a good quality machine shop, that may be able to make us a couple nozzles?

I have dealt with a shop called Count on Tools. They can be found on the net. They make Quad nozzles for a fraction of the cost that Quad/Tyco charges.

Do they make custom shaped nozzles or only standard replacement nozzles?

Go to this site ( http://www.nozzlesupply.com/ ) and then call them and ask for Fred Calkins. He makes nozzles and custom nozzles as well as replacement parts for many makes of machines.

Their quality is top notch and their prices defy those of OEM's.

We have worked with Fred now for the last 18 months and I have nothing but good things to say about their abilities.

Thanks!

Chris

I will second the recommendation for Count On Tools. I've shipped sample parts out to them next day air (let's say on Monday), Tuesday they received the parts, made the nozzle, and shipped it back for Wednesday delivery. That is not normal turn time, that was because I needed it by Wednesday and they were helping me out.

I've never had it take more than 3-4 days to get a custom nozzle from Count On... Compare that to Panasonic where you send them sample parts... Don't hear anything... call them 4 days later, they've lost the parts. Send them more parts. A week later I get a quote for an ungodly amount of money and a two-week lead time.

We also make some of our own custom nozzles in house.
