ERSA Wave Pump Housing

We have an ERSA 500 and we need to pull the Pump Housing. The manual is pretty limited and it doesn't offer any information on how to remove it. Do we have to remove all of the solder from the pot first? Or is there some way to pull it without going to this extreme?
