Questions on juki 740 | 23 March, 2011

I am thinkingof purchasing a juke 740. The seller told me that the machine is capable of mounting down to 0402 and 0.5mm ic pitch, but I search the net I realize that it is able to mount 01005 and ic pitch 0.3mm. So is my machine seller's information correct?

Need help..... Thanks a lot

bwjm,

We have placed 0402's with 740 and it worked well. When new (if 1005's existed then) maybe, but that sounds like a seller/manufacurer quoting specs. I would think all 740's being used are well used, so placement accuracy might not be per machine spec.

Charlie, thanks for the reply. But I am still unclear with the machine capabilities. Does the standard ke740 able to place 01005 components or is it the machine was upgraded to place 01005? This is my first time getting a placement machine, I am quite worried about the spec. I have quite a few 0201 components to place. Hence, I was confused by the spec given b my seller and information on the net. Thanks!

No - the factory 740 spec says that it will go down to an 0402. I am a former Juki agent and sold many of these machines new. I now sell them used. If I can assist you let me know: smtequip@gmail.com. Thanks, Scott

Hello Scott, We have sold modified 101 nozzles. They had a .25mm hole instead of standard. The customer ordered these for placing 0201s. Is it possible they were used on the 740 machine? Or maybe the 760? FredC
