Currently my company wanted to setup SMT plant. I need information for facilities such as below: 1. Floor loading requirement 2. Environment air particles count 3. ESD requirement 4. Exhaust 5. Ventilation 6. Temperature

1. Floor loading requirement - The designer of your factory building specified the flooring with a certain floor loading capability. You need to determine that capability. You plan to install machines and equipment. You need to determine the weight of your equipment, process materials, people and whatnot. Consider point loading for heavier machines such as solder machines that have, say, 800 pounds of solder in the pot. Document your thinking behind the 'fudge factors' that you select.

2. Environment air particles count - Your customer expects a certain air quality depending on the products that you'll be producing for them. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standards. International Standards for Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments: * ISO 14644-1 Part 1: Classification of air cleanliness; * ISO 14644-2 Part 2: Specifications for testing and monitoring to prove continued compliance with ISO 14644-1. 3. ESD requirement - ESD Association standard, ANSI/ESD S20.20. This important standard, entitled Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program, covers the requirements necessary to design, establish, implement, and maintain an ESD control program to protect electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment susceptible to ESD damage.

4. Exhaust - You should meet the requirements for exhausting equipment according to your suppliers' recommendations.

5. Ventilation - Ventilation rates express the flow rate of outside air brought into a building and are typically normalized by the volume of space being ventilated (air changes per hour), by the area of the floor being ventilated (cubic feet per min (cfm) per ft2) or by the number of people being served (cfm per person). * 15 cfm per person [California Safety Code (1987) Section 121] * The conventional, "national consensus standard" has been four to six outside air changes per hour recommended for a "safe" B-occupancy laboratory * In laboratories that routinely use more hazardous material, such as known carcinogens, 10 to 12 outside air changes per hour have been recommended. * Some publications simply recommend four to 12 air changes per hour; such generalized recommendations represent engineering by "rule-of-thumb" at its worst.

6. Temperature - ANSI/J-STD-001: * Temperature and Humidity: 18-30°C, 30-70%RH
