Pneumatic Feeders - how to control them | 27 September, 2011

We use exclusively pneumatic feeders and can NOT control the force or speed of advancement. We get a lot of components (mostly LED-type packages) that tend to flop around in the pocket a lot and are flipped on the side or “thrown” by the feeder during advancement.

Has anybody else had this problem, and has anybody tried to modify a pneumatic feeder to reduce the advancement force? If so, please share your experiences.

It would help to know what brand of pneumatic feeder you are using. Some are adjustable and others are not.
