Samsung SM421 and 01005 components | 16 August, 2013

I am doing some research on Pick and Place machines and have found the Samsung brochure a bit confusing. Specifically I am looking at the SM421, some of the information I am finding states that this machine is spec'd to place 0201 and up. On the same spec sheet I see that it will do 01005 components and up. Still another datasheet says that I need an upgraded stage vision system to place 01005's. Does anyone run these placing 01005's ? If so did you have to purchase an Upgrade ?

Hi,

I know it's confusing. The 421 is sold with two different vision cameras, standard and megapixel. It depends where you buy the machine. North american machines come with the megapixel cameras standard and will just need a Cn020 nozzle and appropiate feeder for 01005 parts. Other machines will require the Megapixel option.
