Hello all. Running a new to us Omniflo 5 and realized that there is no ports for thermocouplers or wires to do any profiling. There is a space on a front panel for thermal profiling inputs, so I am assuming it was optional, just not spec'ed on this machine. Is there a way to retrofit it? Or am I looking at a stand alone profiler as my only option. We have a dinosaur of a Vitronics IR oven with a build year of 91 that even has them, surprised that the Omniflo doesn't. Which is what the person that bought it must have assumed as well.

We have the thermal connections on our omniflow, but we prefer to use the mole. I actually prefer the kic profiler over the mole profiler, but you work with what you have sometimes. The benefit of using an external system is you don't have the long thermal wires running the full length of the oven.

I'm not sure where you're located, but you should try contacting your Regional Sales Rep for ECD or KIC Thermal. They often times have demo units that they are required to "demo" several times per year. They may be willing to come in and profile your product for you at no charge, providing you let them go through their "Sales Shpleal".

Just a thought...

Hello Derek, Many new ovens do not have the TC connections for use with trailing wires any longer. As "A Very Frazzled Man" said there are several types of profilers available at varying prices, depending on your requirements. I would be happy to speak with you regarding this and/or have a representative meet with you. MB Allen, KIC +1.858-386-2605
