We have 3 crystals that visually look identical that are placed on the PCB. The issue our inspectors are having is validating the value is correct per reference location. There is no power ever applied to the board. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to validate the correct part is in the correct location? Does anyone have a similar situation?

Have an external oscillator circuit contact the LED pads or a nearby connected pad and only apply power at say 1V and measure the frequency of oscillation of your circuit through a buffer stage.
