Helllo, our company using yestesh BX AOI for board inspection. It is problematic to detect component description in characters that is rotated 45 degres (SO8 and other) with marking inspection, maybe someone can help how to fix it? Characters that rotation is 90 degres detection is good.

Could you provide more information on the issue, what you want to pass and what you want to fail? I'm having a hard time seeing how the AOI is not catching 45* off, especially on a mark inspection with characters on the part. I have a hard enough time getting part to pass that are >10* angle.

I want to check component polarity only. How often prophylaxis for the AOI machine should be done? Maybe dust cause this problem? I use pattern match decision.

I doubt your machines dirty or calibration is out of wack, unless you beat it up real good. I have had the BX for a few years now and I have personally programmed over 700 recipes. Outside of monthly machine dust wipe downs and re-greasing the y-wagon rods we've never had an issue or had to re-calibrate anything.

Check over your mark parameters, make sure your pass score isn't set too low, polarity box is checked, the search area isn't too large. Make sure your angle tolerance +/- is set to 0, double check all of your alternate mark images. Any combination of these settings could be the cause of what issue your seeing.
