Looking for AOI Development History | 10 August, 2017

Hello,

I am looking for information regarding the history of the development of automated optical inspection technology from when it was first conceived to today. I would generally like a timeline from milestone achievements that really progressed this technology forward.

Looking for AOI Development History | 10 August, 2017

I dug this in the past and I couldn't find much as well. It is a short history, as it is all based on a digital camera(first attempts start 80s and 90s). I want to say most of the applications of CMOS and CCD cameras we started seeing around the year of 2000.
