Hello, I am new to this group, and the company I am working for has started a SMT department we have an older and used line of equipment. We have a EKRA E-1 screen printer and a Juki FM-740. None of this I know how to program, any help would be much appreciated.

Ideally you would want factory training but with old equipment that might not be feasible. the manufacturer might not offer training for legacy products, or the cost of the training is out of budget.

Your next best bet is to find a third party supplier who is familiar with the equipment and also stocks replacement parts, nozzles, feeders etc. They may provide training at a lower cost than the OEM and are often willing to give free trouble shooting advice since they are hoping to sell you spares.

If all else fails, dig into the manuals and figure it out on your own. Its not rocket science, and the experience you gain will serve you well in the future. If you get stuck on a specific issue, post it here, someone has probably delt with it before.
