Anyone out there have experience with X-ray parts counting ?

We are doing an evaluation and I was wondering what levels of accuracy others are experiencing.

Thanks in advance

Hi Senior,

Which ones are you looking at? I've had a brief sniff at Scienscope, Creative Electron, and Visiconsult, but it is always something that feels like a nice to have and not a must have so never makes it in the budget.

I have worked with all 3.

What do you think about the ScienScope and Visiconsult ?

Didn't feel comfortable counting 4 reels at once on the Scienscope, would rather 1 reel, 1 label for our processes.

The Visiconsult looks good and has a fast cycle time, with one in one out. The main issue here is that due to the weakness of £GBP against $USD & EUR it is more expensive than holding additional reels and adding attrition. Hence being on the nice to have list, and not the must have.

VJE , Optical Control , Visiconsult have been field proven and all three companies give the best support.

VJE is affordable and one of the first in the market.

Yes, we ended up with VisiConsult.

Technical support is A++ and I really like the simplicity of the software interface and the counting cloud. Anytime you run into a shape that will not count correctly, you take several x-ray photos and upload them to the VisiConsult cloud. All users in the field can contribute to this database. The engineers update the algorithms on a regular basis to fix issues. It works really good.

It is my strong opinion that they are the best out there at the moment.

We receive no benefit from VisiConsult to make these statements.

At my last company we used the VJ Electronix XQuik II counter. Worked well. Main reason we chose was it automatically updated the counts to our inventory system Bartector.
