I want to know how you measure capacitance and resistance to 01005 components?Is there such a machine for automatic measurement of component values on PCB? We have a lot 01005 components and we lose time to measure first panel components...I'm interested in how you are doing?

There's always flying probe, although it's not particularly cheap.

First, you cannot measure capacitors once they are soldered onto the board. Second, why must you measure? Verify your machine set up by using intelligent feeders (if your machine has them) or a checklist, preferably by two people. If you cannot trust that the vendor put the correct value on the reel (it ca happen), then measure the first piece on each new reel using an LCR meter and mark that reel as Verified.

This in conjunction with AOI, ATE, or functional test, you should be able to assure your product.

I'm with Steve and flying probing. As long as you are testing the capacitance of the cap in the circuit and not of the cap itself you'll get a pretty good indication. Most are going to be 10nf and 100nf decoupling caps at that size so quite easy to work out.

We measure each first board before the oven after every chageover...Assembling one offset and measure component, after we clear plate...We have reason why do that...But we're wasting a lot of time.So I wanted to see how you do it. Thank you for answers.
