We're a small CM in Connecticut looking for recommendations on BOM management software. We're presently using Excel with a lot of Vlookup and Hlookups between individual BOMs and the master parts list. I'm not necessarily looking for anything too full featured. Key features we'd like to have are where used and ease of updating a specific BOM with some sort of records. I've been using the Cortana search bar and updating the master parts list when necessary but I"m sure there's a better way.

Hi Drew,

BOM Connector from Router Solutions in Germany will do some of what you want - allowing you to import new customer BOMs and look up against your database of parts by number, description etc to avoid duplicates. It can also do a where used, and learns customer part numbers. It's not perfect but does do a good job.
