Hi All;

I have heard there is a software to make MCS16F Y2K-OK. Has anyone heard if this is correct? If so, from where and how much?

Hi Carl,

Yes, is correct. There is software for the MCS16f Y2K. I had one unit of it which already complete the upgrade to Y2K. I got this from Singapore Mecomb which they are servicing the FUJI machine. U can try to call this number 4602676 to look for KM Leong and ask for the quotation.

The software is available from Fuji America as well. To determine the kit you will require for the upgrade, you need to know what size hard drive you have in your system and then visit the FAC web page for a part number and pricing.

Eric,

how does the upgrade work? Have you actually tested it after installation? Which tests have you performed? There are standard Y2K test programs currently being used, e.g. I have seen a "7-critical-dates" checklist which details shutdown-rollover-reboot sequences. Besides the dates, is performance the same as before? How much have YOU paid for the kit?
