This would be a highly unusual "requirement." In house checks on paste viscosity went the way of the buffalo years ago.

The question to your customer should be: why ?

All of the mainstream paste suppliers should be able to supply you with a COC that includes viscosity readings.

Solder paste Viscosity Meter | 22 June, 2020

Measuring solder static paste viscosity is fairly easy to do. IPC TM-650 .4.34, Solder Paste Viscosity lists the method and equipment.

Just don't tell your customer that it is meaningless because the solder paste is printed in shear, not statically.

Yes we do have a COC for every solder paste with viscosity measured.

But some customers have there unique requirements. And its not useful arguing with them.

which method is better Spindle or T-bar. IPC TM 650 have are considered as standard methods.

1. T bar 2. Spindle.

since we have never used it. we are bit confused. Which would be a better option to choose for solder paste.

And which will be a better Malcom or Brookfield.
