Can anybody who has a PPM-retrofitted Quad IV C tell me what they think? I'm still going around in circles trying to decide what to get.

I am doing some TSSOP and QFP parts with 0.5 mm lead pitch and 0.65mm, and my current machine isn't accurate enough.

Thanks in advance for any pointers,

Jon

Its nice to have Qsoft on a 4c, its a lot more user friendly than the old system. but..

1.It doesn't increase the machines accuracy 2.All of PPM's software is very buggy, We ended up switching all our Q machines back to Quad's windows 98 software for that reason... 3.Its very expensive for what you get. I might say go for it if it was even half the price

The 4C is a really good machine and should easily be able to place the parts you were asking about, with or without their upgrade.
