Hello

We are working with inspection Omron machine (VT-S730), we have cycle time problems with some models. Does anyone know why this happens? Months ago, the cycle time was fine, but now it is so high and our production is less.

AOI cycle times typically increase as defects/false calls found increases.

If it's not that then possibly aging hardware or something has become corrupt in the software?

I don't the Omron but I have worked with one where if you taught more acceptable windows then over time the machine slowed down because it had to do more checking. On that machine a false fail could be added to the library. Over time each component could have 20-30 images and that is a lot more comparing that the machine has to do. If the Omron works similarly then check each part to see if there is an excess of pass windows in the library.

Thank you, It´s a possibility because that model has many false calls and real defects, but only in one component. A while back we had a similar problem and we changed the component number to a new one, and the cycle time was better, but this time the problem continues.

Are You using "Output CSV" Option? When you have a lot of CSV files on the same folder the inspection gets slow.
