So I am having a little trouble with my mydata MY19. its an older machine picked up used and its had its quirks. recently we tried to start adding electrical verification to our workflow, and had to disable it as we were getting intermittent bad parts that we don't think were actually out of spec. I am suspicious the measuring system is going bad, so I would like to verify it. however the issue is when it test a cap for example, it doesn't tell you the value it thinks it measured, it just says pass/fail. I would like to see the measured value so I can debug the issue. dirty contacts/bad angle settings etc would be easier to figure out if i could see what the machine THINKS its seeing.

The electrical test, on those older machines, wasn't very exact. Try to expand the tolerances, 25-30% for caps and 10% for resistors, and see if that solves your problem. Also, if I remember correctly, if you go into the layout and single-place the component, the machine will give you the test result.

Yes those verifiers seem like a good idea but they really don't work correctly.

You would be better off verifying with a meter during reel changes than wasting your life on that thing. I concur that single mount will show the value.

thanks! definitly not the answer I wanted to get, but it's good to hear it. Back when we sourced the machine a few years ago I was kinda against buying it as our production scale is so small it doesn't add a ton of value, BUT the electrical verification was a nice thing to have since it helped us avoid mistakes when switching over jobs, which happens multiple times a day. Guess the machine won't add any significant value in the end, but I'll try the single mount and see what it tells me.

I hate it when I'm right...
