Samsung/Hanwha SM Feeders from China | 27 November, 2021

Hi guys, I just bought a SM482 and I'm trying to source cheaper IT feeders. I got some offers from China for used IT feeders and I checked the serials with Hanwha. They said they are mostly fake since the serial numbers aren't registered in their database and some even have serial numbers that should be used in the future.

What is your experience with this? Are these fake feeders any good? Especially the IT module, that is critical for us.

I have 10 8mm feeders purchased from alibaba, and they work fine, and do not appear in our maintenance log with any more frequency than the feeders that came with the machines. We do not use the IT system, so I can't speak on that.

IT Feeder are not so popular in China, so most of the IT feeder you will find are copy type, but normally they work. You might have to program the feeder board with feeder type and ID.
