| Hello Everyone: | | I'd like to know How I Can get the CPK for a Fuji Machines? | If some body could help me please let me Know. | | Regard | | Gerardo Rodriguez | Gerardo: You determine Cpk on a Fuji machine the same way you do it on any placement machine. You determine it the old fashion way!!!!
Cpk measures the distance between the process mean and both the upper and lower specification limit on a mean chart at half width. Cpk = lesser of either (Upper Specification Limit - Process Mean)/3 Sigma or (Process Mean - Lower Specification Limit)/3 Sigma
Generally, a high capability process should detect all process mean changes that produce out of specification product. With a low capability process, you will sell your customer stuff that doesn't meet her requirements and even worse, not be aware which ones are bad.
Just for starters, this is not a new thread on SMTnet. Rather than plow new ground on Cpk, you might consider a review the archives, where there is 60+ messages on Cpk. Some of them specific to Fuji machines. May be after you do that we can restart this thread.
Good luck
