Hello and good morning.

I've recently encountered an issue with a DEK tool and no one is able to remedy it.

During the initializing phase, the table begins "bouncing" up and down and never stops, halting the process. There's a pass through proximity sensor that tells the machine the table is in the home position, but seems to be working. I've seen in the past with Proximity sensors the light lights up, but that doesn't mean voltage/data is being processed through it.

Has any ever experienced this? If so, would you mind sharing your remedy?

Thank you

Is it a voltage problem?

Please clarify what you mean by "bouncing". Small up and down motions around home position? Full stroke of table movement up and down? Or somewhere in between? Does it start as soon as servo power is applied? Or not until table home movement is initiated? Does it culminate in an error? Or do you e-stop to stop?

During the initialization process, the table will make small movements up and down, and occasionally go all the way up and back down again, then continue to bounce up and down maybe an inch of travel, it never completes initializing. I wasn't operating the keyboard so I can't speak on it directly but another technician said it gave him the option to cancel, we don't have to use the E-stop.

Still needing more / better info. But indications of motor / encoder issue, and definitely NOT sensor issue. Dekhead@att.net
