I am looking for recomendation for best paste printer (or paste dispenser) whoch can inspect the solder paste after printing AND it can be used for simple 2D inspection of assembled PCB too (AOI)... I dont have space for 2 machines now , so both features has to be included in one machine. PCB size is 500x250mm, smallest components are 0603. Any recomendations? I would prefer the solder paste dispenser, to eliminate the need for stencils ( have alot versions)

Doesn't exist.

True Solder Paste dispensing is a Mycronic only solution with Essemtec coming behind with slightly less cpapbility. With Essemtec you can have one machine that prints and places, that saves space, with Panansonic you can have machines that place and do AOI. You won't find a printer that does SPI and AOI as those requirements are at different ends of a linear process.

For low volume assisted inspection, AgnosPCB could probably spot solder bridges solder not present and placement errors...

Thanks "Spoiltforchoice" for Informations, I have found allready a Chinese company which has such machines, just wanted to check other options from other countries too. I know it is from other end of linear process, but from my point of view (plus when you dont have much space left because of other many machines) It seems to me wise that : 1. High speed jet solder paste printer should have some sort of HD camera for auto check/correct solder paste patern if any issue occurs....(I dont want another machine just to check how good the Jet printer did the job, and then in complicated way make the second machine tell the first machine, how to correct the solder paste patern...) 2. so from previous point 1., Jet printer should have HD camera to auto-correct any errors, so why the camera could not scan assembled PCB for any errors too?...again, from my point of view it will be great ( when debugging) to overlay the pictures of A.assembled PCB with B.picture from SPI, to see where is the cause of the issue....I can not imagine how dificult will be to overlay the data from 1.Essemtec (Printer) with 2.Panasonic (SPI) and with 3.Mycronic (AOI) ...just to see the reason why some components on PCB have any issue...simple as that....Anyway, thanks for informations provided....(for those who provided)

It would be interesting to see how those machines work. But then those won't be cheap too.

1. The jetting head flies very low to the level of the board. So, performing AOI function will crash the head. 2. AOI is performed close to the end of the line, after P&P or reflow. Are you planning to run the boards back-and-forth, on the line? 3. Latest SPI machines have the jet capabitity to repair bad prints.

Hi.Thanks for reply. 1. - I guess after JETting the paste, the head will go aside, to allow head with HD camera(SPI) to do the job.....and thus if used for AOI , the same camera will be much higher above components, not damaging anything....this is my suggestion only, I dont know how standard Solder paste Jet machine is done, but I woulôd produce it this way If I have to... 2-Yes, not always, but all those "faulty" I would want to find out WHY it happend....so I can take steps not to happend anymore in future ...it is for our own internal production, developers developed PCBs with alot "variations" and not all details can work well with all components... 3- Did not know that...but agian, that is SPI with "additional repair capability" which should not be used for jetting all of it"....I would rather have machine if such is on market - Solder Jetting machine with SPI capability....repairing patern should be no problem then I guess. post the website or search term you used to find this SPI/ AOI machine. I've never heard of such a thing. Is is pre-reflow AOI or post-reflow?

It is almost like attempt to advertise something or dig into market opinion for future development of something. In both cases looks like scheme - not clear what they ask for, not clear what they want to achieve.
