Where can I get delmat material

Where can I get delmat material | 25 August, 1999

Can anyone tell me where I can get a good lightweight material to use for a soldering fixture? I need to make various fixtures to hold LED's vertical during the soldering process, and keep them from floating up off the board surface.

At a different job we used something called delmat, but I don't know where it was purchased.

I appreciate any suggestions, various of our boards have over 500 LED's to keep in position.

Another excellent supplier of CDM (composite Delmat material) is Rochling Materials Ltd. They can supply both conductive and non -conductive types and are able to machine to your specification.

I've had many wavesolder pallets made by them over the years and their quialty has been very good. They can take CAD data or even a sample asembly.

They can be contacted on:

I worked for a contract manufacturing house and most of the assemblies that are being build there required either process carriers or wave solder fixures. So I trained a Machine Shop Next door in making these fixures, now they stock the CDM. I can get fixures the same day and just the way I want them. Just in case their number is (619) 536-1566.

Thanks
