I am interested in inspection machines working with comparation, the results that I need for inspections are missing parts, component offset, polarized components, etc. The machine can work in line or off line.

Thanks for help. Sergio.

Sergio. | Sergio: Automated optical inspection (AOI) is one of the highest growth rate segments of the printed circuit assembly equipment market. And why shouldnt it be?? Machine inspection of paste deposits and component placement has the potential to substantially improve quality.

Suppliers are entering the market at a blinding rate. There is not enough market to support the 15 to 20 suppliers out there. As customers understand and better define product requirements, there will consolidations of suppliers, development of equipment for particular applications, and auctions.

Among the issues in evaluating supplier machines are: programming time and flexibility, test time, test coverage, "flexibility," and repeatability, which are driven by the suppliers approach to image processing. Below is a list of AOI suppliers. Sorry but I dont believe that Ive done a good job of distinguishing between machines for paste inspection and components.
