Need to automatically dispense latex masking material | 9 November, 1998

I have a need to dispense a latex masking material using an automated dispensing system. We are presently looking at the I&J750. Does anyone have any experience with this piece of equipment, or have a better solution available?

Doug:

You might want to take a look at Specialty Coating Systems. I have attached their URL so you can go and look at their website. They manufacture conformal coating equipment really nice stuff and good people to work with.

TechnoISEL, 2101 Jericho Turnpike, NHyde Park, NY 11040 516.328.3970 fax 8827 ($14k) Online 815.363.8008 (RC1818 $17k) DCI, One Kenwood Circle, Franklin MA 02038-9908 800.341.4811 fax 508.520.1424 $10k IJ Fisnar ($10k) 201.796.1477 fax 794.7034 Manncorp Box8 1840 Country Line Rd Unit 101 Huntington Valley PA 19006 800.745.6266 215.364.6100 fax 6110 www.manncorp-smt.com

We selected Manncorp because we liked the idea of using Gerber data, rather than visually locating, the placement head. Not that that's a big deal, when slopping latex on a board. Generally, we were disappointed in the "programming interface," what ever that is, with all machines. These are, from a programming stand-point, fairly crude activities. We were hoping to have this be operator programmable, without a lot a two letter secret codes. You know click on "go right," rather than press "MOV/9" twice.

On Fisnar, we wanted to be able to do a 16" square board, they couldn't do that.
