I know they have a machine output file for the MYDATA family also. Another program worth looking at may be CircuitCam from Aegis Industrial Software. I saw their demo at SMI and it was very impressive. I don't know, however, if they handle PADS and MYDATA specifically. Gary Simbulan

Could someone put me on the right road. | Thank You | John Kirby John, I work for Aegis Industrial Software and we develop the product called CircuitCAM which is referenced in the response from Gary Simbulan. We can take your Pads Data and easily convert it into the Mydata pick and place programs. Other software which may be able to do the same are UniCAM and CIMbridge. You should really check out all of these packages before making any decisions since they all go about it very differently and one my be better suited for your particular application. Feel free to give me a call or email me directly. I'd be happy to discuss the way CircuitCAM interacts between Pads and Mydata.

Could someone put me on the right road. | | | Thank You | | | John Kirby | | John, Mydata themselves will supply a software package called Cadconv. This package is customised by means of a control file to accept any CAD input and convert it to a Mydata Typsys file or a Directline file.
