Wrong Forum ? | 7 May, 1998

I thought this was a forum for equipment only. We were asked to take OUR messages off of the other SMTNet forum. I see many messages concerning process related issues that don't have anything to do about buying, selling or servicing SMT equipment. I think these should be posted on the other forum. Let's be fair! This is an equipment forum for which some of us want to see ONLY equipment related topics. Sincerely Marty Greene President - Circuits, Inc. / Automated Equipment Services, Inc.

For now there is but one forum, and that is this SMT Forum. Everyone is welcome to post any technical issues related to pcb design, fabrication, and assembly, of which capital equipment is an integral part. We have not been able to determine whether it is a good idea to divide up the forum by subjects such as pcb capital equipment, design, fabrication, assembly, etc. Do you have any suggestions? However, we did decide to separate the market place from technical discussions. The PCBCE Mart was created to provide an easy way for equipment buyers and sellers to find each other. Other advertisers are encouraged to use the Classified section for now. Hope this helps. Thanks, Cunli

I believe the majority of people are interested in a wide range of subjects related to manufacture of electronics.

No one told me it was "equipment only." Maybe it was that people were upset with the salesmen on the forum and told you to scram. If anything, the forum might be split up for jerks like you to sell whatever to people who came here (for some strange reason) to buy equipment.

| | Me thinks Wayne and Pete must be salesman! Duke: As for me you're right, but I think we are all salesmen and are selling ourselves everyday. Some of us better than others! Spent my twenty years in manufacturing before becoming a representative. Thought I paid my dues, but maybe I still owe! Wayne
