Special PCB finishing require for BGAs ?? | 23 March, 1998

Do I need to specify any type of special finishing to my PCB manufacturer when having boards fabbed that contain BGA footprints ??? Thanks, Stuart

I have assembled boards with BGA population that had HASL, OSP, and Au/Ni finishes. All worked fine. HASL is preferable as there are less solderability suprises.
