Really????? | 26 February, 1998

It would hold more weight with me if the submitter had an email address and was a little more concise with information. I am seriously interested right now as we are looking into SM, and Quad in specific, among others. AutoProgram make it very difficult to assemble boards with more than 255 placements due to the fact that it creates segmented programs.

To author of this message regarding Quad Systems. We have, as many companies do, experienced our share of "Challenges and Opportunities". We also have however, maintained a level of committtment to our very loyal customers that I personally consider second to none. I would professionally request that if you or your organization have in fact been experiencing this level of difficulty, please contact me directly at the E-mail address (tellis@quad-sys.com) such that a resolution can be achieved immediatly. We are totally driven to help every customer succeed, and given the opportunity to demonstrate, I have every confidence we will do so in your particular case. This level of effort is an entitlement by virtue of having "Quad" on the cover. Sincerely, Terry D. Ellis V.P. Gentlemen: Autoprogram is a 1986 product that is still supported but is by no means the current state of the art. QSoft is the software for recent models. By the way, the segmented program is the means by which you can have unlimited program size. As you might have guessed, I work for Quad. I will answer any questions you care to address to me. Bill

Richard, Just ask Quad about their Laser Alignment system, they're being taken to court about it. They've ripped it off from somebody else... Ray

Notice the lack of response to the laser system comment? Unspoken words can say a quite a bit...they don't want to have to address the issue. I wonder why? Ray

Our optical centering assembly called QuadAlign does not use lasers. We used to use the commercially available laser alignment assembly that so many others use but felt we had a better way. The US Patent Office agreed. We applied for a US patent in February 1994 and were granted the patent Setember 24,1996. What is your return address? Bill

Quad has done right by me!!! I have worked with "Quadstar 100's, IIC, and a QSX1. The company and their machines are one of best on the market. Tech. support is good if you have a newer machine, On older machines (Quadstar100) it might take a couple of phone calls, but they are always there to help.
