Benefits/advantages of SMT to purchaser

A potential purchaser of our products (switchmode power supplies for telecommunications) has asked what the benefits of SMT are to him. Our marketing people wish to obtain a list of the benefits of SMT to the purchaser of the end product. i.e. they are not after a reason "it is cheaper" because the end product purchaser can then say "why are your prices not coming down then?". A product can become more powerful in a smaller package than a comparable TH product. Smaller, smarter, faster. There are additional benefits derrived from the manufacturing aspect, but the end user does not necessaraly see/care about that part! Which is why this question is interesting to answer!! Besides the price the curcuits are smaller and herewith faster. There are also less energie consumtion and losses. HF cicuits are more repeatable and require less tuning.
