Screenprint Characterisation and PCB landscape analysis. | 8 December, 1997

Q1. As part of a Final Year Thesis I am currently undergoing an in-deph study of the Screenprinting process for MPM 3000 Screenprinters. Ultimately I will be setting up control charts on line. Does anybody have suggestions in this area ?, I have alot of research already completed. Q2. Another part of the thesis is a study of the PCB bare board landscape. I have a lot of interesting findings in this area already, if anybody wishes to discuss them send me an e-mail. Regards, Donnacha

I am in a position very similar to yourself. I have been involved in this industry for an intense few years. I have given papers at NEPCON west and east and have served as a consultant to a few reputable contract manufacturing houses. I run capability studies and designed experiments specifically for the MPM UP3000 and was actually fortunate enough to work on the first 3000 in a full production environment. I am well aware of it's strengths and shortcomings and have an understanding of the variability that you may have incurred. As for PCB design and topography, I am extremely knowledgeable in these areas as well. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or considerations you may have. If you would like to chat, my number here is 978 392 3200. Ask for Justin and I'll get right to you. Good luck and best regards. Justin Medernach
