BGA using Siemens HS180 | 6 December, 2001

Dear Reader,

I have a line with a SP120 and a HS180. I am starting with some new projects using BGA component. Some one have placed BGA using HS180? Is there some tip, or any alternative way to do it? Awaiting ofr some help, I thank in advance!

It has been done and I could set you up with some customers, who continue to place BGA's on the HS 180 successfully. In the GF editor you define the component as if it had leads around the perimeter. At the end of the editor you activate outline measurements. In some cases a light diffuser http://www.edmundoptics.com on top of the camera glass may be required to reduce the reflection of gold traces on the component. Stefan

Marcos ,, We do place BGA in our HS180 but not that often , as we do run into some problems sometimes . We found out the best way for us ,, to turn outline on , and also paint the outside of the BGA with white pen and you won`t have any problems . I hope I can be a help IR
