the case is that FUJI IP3 failed to place BGA ,when it is processing the BGA vision ,often occours the alert message. Our oprating system is MCS30,the software version is v1.3. anyone encounter the same problem? it is be appciatiate that feedback any comments.

today I succeed placing the BGA at the other table(table2), the part data is only changed with "pitch_limit"=50%,lead_check_ area=50%,lead_brightness=0. but when I process vision at the tale1(which equipped the MTU),still failed,the error message is "1CA82021",which is same as yesterday. it confused me really. I think the frontlight or the camera is something wrong. thank your commments.my email is shengang@eastcom.com.

I would check your machine. Often times you purchase IP3's with two different camera's, to accomodate a wider range of components. This might be what you are running into. Questions: What is the size, color, etc.. of your component? Setting for each camera the same (gain, etc...)?

BGA's are sometimes difficult for a camera to recogonize as your not looking for the dark outline of a part with white lighting behind it but rather the white balls with in that dark component. If you don't mind experimenting a little I would play with the gain setting (I never played with a Fuji so I don't know how this is done). If you have an old BGA that you don't mind possibly damaging take it and wipe the bottom of it on a rag and try and place that part. Sometimes the balls get a dull finish on them that is not recogonized. This won't fix the problem but it'll give you an idea what the problem is. The only other thing I can think of is that the ball spacing is wrong.

This may not be the answer you were looking for, but I have worked for serveral leading technology companies and we used vision (type 10)on IP3, and QP3 machine and never had a problem with placement issues.

Sounds like your problem is your camera setting for Head 1 (Gain & Offset), are you rejecting any other parts on that head?

Go to (Set) (Propers) (Cameras) (Gain & Offset) you can then zoom in and out to check light contrast. Check the numeric color-coding. White should read in the low 200's and dark should be close to zero, between 10 and 30... for a good starting point.

thank all of your kind help.today I set the camera gain and offset same as the camera2,the gain is 180,and the offset is 105. First the vision process is failed to pass ,later I found the size of the BGA ball in the screen is so smaller than the real size,so I set the ball width 0.5 to 0.3,when I try again,succeed. I think the reason is when the light irradiates to the ball,it loses some light of the brim,maybe the setting is not the optimze parameter. I will continue to pay attention to the case.
