Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find parts for the vision system on our AP25 printer. In particular I am looking for the cable(s) that go from the camera to the Cognex card.

Do you have a Panasonic & Toshiba camera? What are the MPM p/ns your looking at? Whats the problem? Noise perhaps. If noise try checking the metal cylinder to the right of the camara housing. The set screws can loosen up. Tighten up all the screws.

Pete:

It is a Panasonic Camera. MPM tells me that they no longer sell parts for that vision system, and in order to fix this problem I have to do a vision up-grade. The upgrade is over 20K if I remember correctly. That is not going to happen.

I have checked to make sure all connections are secure.I have also swapped Cognex cards and that did not help. The only thing that ever makes a difference is if I un-plug or jiggle the silver cable connector to the right of the camera.

The machine will run fine for a while, then I start getting mis prints. When I look at the vision there seems to be streaking off one side of the image.I jiggle the connector once or twice, spin twice counter-clockwise, and then spit to the South and it works for a little while longer. Hehehe
