I am in need of a manual for an SRT -1100 BGA repair machine. I have heard that SRT was bought out by another company. Does anybody know who bought them out and who might be the representative or salesperson in the Midwest area?

Thanks!

Peggy

SRT was bought out by GENRAD, who was in turn bought out by Teradyne. You can find a list of sales offices and reps on their website, http://www.teradyne.com. Follow the links for Circuit Board INspection and Test, then Rework.

SRT is MUD... They have been bought and sold several times and ZERO has been put into R&D. It will die soon...

Hey, that's not nice to say. The complete big-fish-eat-little-fish story is Nicolet Imaging Systems bought SRT, GenRad bought NIS, Teradyne bought GR. I think its safe to say that it will end here as I cannot see Teradyne being eaten- too big to swallow. From what I know SRT R&D is alive and kicking. New product introduction in the Summit 750 and the advent of true Auto-Thermal Profiling and an up to date GUI on all platforms. I can't see SRT going bye bye becuase its an integral component to thier X-Ray and Test offerings. Original poster: call 978-589-7000 for your manual.

Wrong..!

It is a money loser for Teradyne and it will be cut in the future.

Wow, auto thermal profiling.. Gee, that is a little late. When will the summit platform be redesigned. It's the same thing they sold 10 years ago with a few modifications. Will they be getting closed loop air/gas control in the near future or will they be using those High Tech manual adjustments for a few more years...

From my sources, Teradyne's MXI and Rework products are what's generating the revenue for the AT Div.
