Centre Board Support for Electrovert Wave | 16 July, 2003

We have acquired an UltraPak 600C wave machine and are investigating the possibility of installing a centre support wire conveyor to eliminate the use of pallets. What is involved in this project and how feasible is it? The boards have bottom side SMT components glue cured and top side through hole devices. We do not currently have a chip wave but we will be getting one.

� Center board support: - Stationary tension wire - Adjustable width and height position (manual) - Pneumatic raise/lower feature; extends through preheat and solder wave - Minimum board clearance on bottom preheater #1 is 63.5 mm (2.5 in.) with this option - Not compatible with any internal spray fluxer
