We are recieving BOM from our customers.Certain customer's BOM will not specify the complete details in the description Column (Like Package,tolerace, voltage limits etc).They will be specifying the MFR's PArt # only. Is there any common website available to look for the details. If we select the Manufacturer and PArt# the link shal go to the Datasheet of that particular part.

Datsheetlocator.com This website we are using it. But searching through net is taking littlemore time. What I want is a downloadable file having all the list of components arranged manufacturerwise and corresponding website for the specification sheet directly. (Preferably Excel file ahving different sheet for different manufacturers).

That would be one BIG spreadsheet, there are a lot of mfg with a lot of components for each one. As you know when going to the datasheetlocator you notice the huge listing of suppliers (500+) each one of them probbaly has anywhere from 1 type of component to literally thousands. You may want to try and make this yourself by looking over your AVL and then getting the Part number system for each manufacturer. In the Mfg. P/N all of the specs are available.

I don't think that there would be such a database established for all suppliers and all components in the format that you wish.
