Looking in My book, it describes "E" in the last data field as follows. Load error. This function code is not programmed as part of a pattern step. The controller uses the E code as an error marker. While a pattern program is being loaded into memory, the controller checks the format of each pattern step. If an error is detected in a pattern step, the controller changes the function code of that step to an E. After the pattern is loaded, the controller displays the following message. {patern name} IN MEMORY ERROR DETECTED I would double check the whole program, all data fields. Also, I have been taught to make the first step in a program all zeros with D O in the 8 and 9 data fields for step and repeat. Hope this helps.
