My Dek printer "forgets" the speed setting after a few passes and reverts to a faster speed thus screwing up the print. If you edit and change the programmed value and save it, all remains find kind of like refreshing the memory. Any suggestions, I have not found anything in the service manual to narrow this down. Hey, Peter. back in the mid 90's I reversed engineered their drive system because of a dispute over print speed malfunctions. I prooved correct that they had made published claims about their drive topology that were not true. They agreed to redesign the control board for my machines to make it meet their published specs. Needless to say the next two revisions of controller boards were interesting. The 1st would not even power up. The second could not convert the speed correctly with the new motor gearing. I too saw this speed mystery, but sold the machines in disgust rather than continue with another re-design "band aid".

Peter-

You're not going to solve this problem here. Call DEK.
