Hi, can anyone tell me what the current real price is for a new Fuji XP242E? i.e. the price you can pay & not the price they would like you to pay.

I know that there are a lot of other machines out there etc. but it's info on the Fuji I'm after at the moment.

Thanks,

Rob.

Thanks Fastek.

Hi Pete,

It was a production related question - I'm tired of being shafted by manufacturers & overcharged, so instead of spending months trying to beat someone down on price, which may in the end be fruitless I thought that the most effective way would be to ask my peer group.

Sorry if you feel that it was a waste of your time reading & answering it.

When I was in China for Nepcon Shenzhen (August 2005) I was told the XP 242E's are going as low as $140k USD. Not sure if for real or just a ploy (we are a re-seller). Could also be a regional thing (competition for market share in China).

Thanks Jason, I'd heard about the same, but been quoted much higher.

Hi,

I heard the China distributor is selling so many machines in China, that they can offer lower prices due to volume. Great machine, cannot recommend it highly enough. I will try and find how much we paid. I was 6 months ago now.

Hi,

I just found the invoice, and it was Japan Y 18,000,000, which currently translates to about US$156,564 based on the web translator I just tried. This price included front MFU and tray loader at rear and 9 nozzles.

This price did not include a feeder storage rack, did not include the feeder loading jig, and it did not include the export packaging, which was extra.

However we got this price as we were the first company to purchase XP machines in Australia, plus we purchased XP-142's as well, so we got a whole line, plus a load of feeders. I am sure it would cost more if you purchased only the XP-242 itself.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Grant
