I have a Universal GSM1. I'm trying to add a new 6*16 matrix feeder. Does anyone know what the pickup X & Y refers to in the Pickup Information section. I've looked at an 8*20 and it says x=-38.5 , y=-28.3, but its not clear where it expects zero to be.

Thank you.

not sure if I am understanding your question ...

If the answer to your question is the following , I think you should book yourself onto a Programming Training Course right away!

- the x and y co-ords for a matrix tray is usually determind from the corner of the tray to center of part. i.e corner is 0,0 and center of first part to be picked up is 38 mm in the x axis and 25 mm in the y-axis away from 0,0......

"aj" you should find your way to a training class. The measurement is from the zero point of the tray feeder( almost always the feeder slot pin giude that the center guide of the tray holder hits...located in the machine ). It is not the same as nest info ( which is corner of feeder to corner of tray ). Pick-Up X and Y are for trays loaded on direct pick devices Nest X and Y are for pick-ups that will feed into the machine... PTF, etc

In the PTF You can have 2 matrix trays in the same feeder slot; one on the left side and one next to the other one; You don't need to mesaure the first pick-up location, distance from the right side. Opposite to the matrix tray on the left side.

Wo said this will become easy? /
